LOW WIRE 07 20181027

A thundering mix of industrial rock, machine rock and coldwave for your Saturday night! There was a little drama and a little tension earlier but, at the end of the day LOW WIRE goes on and I’m still a part of this wonderful underground radio community! Big thank you to the tilderadio.org guys for allowing me to continue my stream there if I wasn’t able to resolve my aNONradio login issues, this show was simulcast on both channels and it went off swimmingly. Going forward LOW WIRE will remain an aNONradio show but I have no doubt you’ll see me spinning up something regular for Tildeverse Radio before too long so stay tuned! Long live underground radio!

Cat’s high school boy-girl party megamix! UK garage and garage-adjacent (see if I say that then you can’t yell at me about this or that track not being garage). Apologies for the five mintues or so of silence at the start, Djay Pro was going but the software that mixes it all together wasn’t hearing it, even though the mic and whatnot worked fine. I think it’s because I closed it and re-opened it when the stream was already running, lesson learned! Thank you to everyone who stuck with it live through that hiccup and through aNON’s drop-outs. Tonight’s show was episode 26 of the Half Hour of Power!  This represents six months of weekly shows.  A huge thanks to everybody who has regularly listened to show during this time, whether live or from the archives.

This show was supposed to be a “return to the new normal” after a few experimental mix up shows.  The playlist combines chiptunes, skwee, vintage electronica, video game music and video game music remix into a single show, hopefully without feeling too disorganised.  This is the approach I think I will be taking from now on.

Tonight’s show featured the work of the Sega Sound Team Band, Sega’s official in-house band!  The S.S.T band held concerts and released tapes and CDs in Japan only during the late 80s and early 90s, playing rock versions of music from Sega’s games, and the two “medley” tracks from tonight’s show are examples of this.
