Back from the Worldcon, hopefully back to doing regular shows. Yes, I have a report to give on the convention (photos here), as well as opinions to express about people who think refrigeration is wasteful, and a campaign in the Netherlands to conserve gas by getting people to bathe less. But first : poetry!

Everyone Does Best – Stokesauce
I’ve just released a new song, and I’d love for you to hear it, share it and let me know what you think of it.
The name Everyone Does Best came about when I was thinking about being under the pump to get something done, (as I often leave things to the last minute).
I came to the conclusion that although it’s better to start something early and finish it in good time, there is also a beauty to doing something last minute, making it extremely stressful for yourself and those around you.
There’s nothing new under the sun, it’s simply another way of saying diamonds are made under pressure or something. When they need to, everyone does their best!
Even on the deadline of this song I was still getting final touches on the mix, and straight after that I was on the phone with a friend of mine getting artwork done at 12:00am, which was an unintentional ode to the message of this track. Again, not ideal, but… everyone does best.
The track takes a twist towards the end (2:38), it becomes light hearted and fun. I knew when I was writing it that I wanted to have this switch up in the composition.
Thank you for being in my life, I’m glad to be able to share my art with you.

dj Damaru * evolutionRevolution
Hi, I’m Dj Damaru. I’m mixing live from Kootenay lake in BC. It’s the first time that I have a radio show so I’m still defining/expressing what the show is all about. At this point, it will be a mixture of musical exploration mixed with yoga/meditation ideas, every Tuesday at 1600 UTC
Dj damaru?
I use the handle Damaru, as this is Shiva’s drum. I’ve been following the path of Kashmir Shaivism for over 20 years now while learning from different yoga and meditation lineage, so even dj’ing for me is part of the journey. The damaru is an hourglass-shaped drum which in the tantric tradition was built with 2 top craniums, connected together. Two skins are put on the cranium’s half and a ball is connected to a string, is attached to the center.
evolutionRevolution
The evolution of the human race seems to be forgotten, buried below a load of consumerism. It feels like evolution should be at the center of our day-to-day activities or at least I’ve always felt like that. The term evolution revolution actually comes from an animated series, Aeon Flux, where the bad guy scientist creates a ray that would kill all the non-evolved humans and only leave the most evolved human on the planet.
