The first new track in this mix is Fragmented Simulation by Adam Jay, from his album Inoperable Data on Detroit Underground. If electro is some combination of techno and hiphop, then Inoperable Data is tilted more to the techno end. It reminds me of The Advent’s electro tracks on Kombination Research, but much brighter. I like it; I’ll be playing more from it in the coming weeks, once I’ve had time to absorb the tracks.

The next new release is MANASYt‘s Inferior Subjects on MUSAR Recordings, represented here with the song Incest Sect. The song, and the whole release, is typical MANASYt: dark and tough. Good stuff. It reminds me of his album for Bunker and his collaboration with Beta Evers, which makes sense, as MUSAR says the album is a collection of unreleased 2000s material.

Aloka’s Concave, Convex is also a relatively new-to-me. It’s the first release on the forward-thinking Typeless Records, famous for their two Phalanx compilations. I’ve seen people talking about XT3 by Aloka recently; if you like that track, check out Concave, Convex.

That’s it for notes. Next show will be lower tempo. Maybe something suitably icy, given my local weather.

Thanks to everybody out there listening.
